Cultural Awareness

SOAR highly values the ministries that we partner with each year. These ministries have been immersed in their cultural context and discerned what ministry best looks like in their setting. We come as listeners and learners to support and encourage these ministries. That is why we spend significant time in orientation during SOAR before starting ministry.

As we minister in Winnipeg, it's essential to recognize and appreciate the rich cultural tapestry of the city, particularly the significant First Nations population. Our program emphasizes cultural awareness, encouraging participants to engage with and learn from diverse communities, fostering mutual respect and understanding.
