Fundraising is about more than meeting financial goals; it’s an opportunity for your team to grow in faith and unity while involving others in the mission. Inviting your community to support you builds relationships, creates awareness, and allows others to play a vital role in what God is doing through SOAR.
Organize a soup lunch, pie auction, or dessert evening at your church.
Share stories about your team’s mission vision during the event.
Plan a garage sale or bake sale with team participation.
Add a personal touch by sharing your mission goals with attendees.
Pray for guidance and provision. Trust that God is at work in both your team and the people He calls to support you.
Develop a list of people to invite into your mission, including family, friends, your church community, and local businesses.
Write and send personal letters to potential supporters, including details about your team, the purpose of SOAR, and how they can get involved through prayer or financial contributions.
Plan events that give your team opportunities to share their vision while raising funds. Encourage team members to take active roles in planning and hosting these events.
Keep a record of everyone who contributes. After SOAR, send thank-you notes or host a follow-up event to share stories and photos from your mission.
